MATCH REPORT - BILLERICAY TOWN 1 (LEON HUNTER) REDBRIDGE 0 RYMAN PREMIER DIVISION MONDAY 26TH DECEMBER @ NEW LODGE, BILLERICAY 1PM ATTENDANCE: 468.
MANAGERS: BILLERICAY TOWN - JUSTIN EDINBURGH, REDBRIDGE - ALLAN FENN.

Billericay made it a bit of a struggle to beat lowly Redbridge, with a late Leon Hunter strike grabbing the 3 points. Redrbridge have only won once in the league this season and Billericay fans would have expected a thrashing. Redbridge were poor and offered very little up front, but they battled well. The score could have been higher, but for missed chances. Dave Collins had an easy header that he somehow managed to hit the post, Tarkan Mustafa had a shot cleared off the line and Matt Game had a shot pushed onto the post by the goalkeeper. Danny Hockton and Nathan Elder both had good opportunities, but both headed over the bar with the goal at their mercy. Danny Hockton did have the ball in the net earlier in the game, but he was ruled to have been offside by the assistant referee. The second half saw Billericay even more dominant. Young keeper Richard Wray did well to stop a Nathan Elder effort. Tarkan Mustafa also went close to scoring his first goal for Billericay, but a late goal saving challenge from Chris Tedder proved enough to stop Billericay's on slaught. It was then that Leon Hunter had a great chance and he slotted it comfortably past Richard Wray.
