MATCH REPORT - SLOUGH TOWN 0 BILLERICAY TOWN 2 (NATHAN ELDER AND JAMIE DORMER) RYMAN PREMIER DIVISION MONDAY 2ND JANUARY @ STAG MEADOW, WINDSOR 3PM ATTENDANCE: 308.
MANAGERS: SLOUGH TOWN - EDDIE DENTON, BILLERICAY TOWN - MATT JONES.

Matt Jones's first match in charge of Billericay Town could not have gone much better. Jonesy made a few changes bringing established players Leon Hunter and Jamie Dormer in for the depareted Tarkan Mustafa and the injured David Collins. Billericay dominated the game from start to finish and they thought they had taken an early lead only for Nathan Elder's effort to be ruled offside. Slough's only real effort of note in the game came soon after when Glen Harris's long range shot needed a good save from Ricky Millard in the Billericay goal.

Nathan Elder and Danny Hockton both had close efforts in the late stages of the second half. Billericay turned their dominance into a goal on 41 minutes. Matt Game's through ball found Nathan Elder who finished well past the helpless Michael Parkin. The game was effectively over as a contest after 48 minutes when captain Jamie Dormer scored his 2nd goal of the season. It was Warren Ryan's through pass that found Dormer, who finished brilliantly from a tight angle on the left hand side. Nathan Elder failed to score his 2nd later in the game, but Billericay had done enough for victory. Fans will be pleased with the start Matt Jones made as manager and will hope for another good performance at home to Folkestone Invicta on Saturday 14th January.
